When a foreign object or excessively thick tape enters the nip, the anti-collision device (typically mechanical spring or pneumatic mechanism) instantly separates the upper and lower rollers, preventing hard impact that would damage the engraved pattern. D2 steel, after vacuum heat treatment, achieves high hardness (HRC60-62) and good wear resistance. Under normal PP production without hard object damage, pattern clarity can be maintained for millions of meters. Worn rollers can be re-ground and re-engraved.
